The laboratory for centrosome and cytoskeleton biology

Institute of Human Genetics, Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf

Jobs and positions

We are looking for a doctoral candidate, post-doctoral scientist, and lab manager

We are looking for colleagues who want to explore cilia biology in various aspects of brain development and gliomagenesis. The model system would be iPSCs (mostly patient-specific) and brain organoids. The research environment of our laboratory is divergent and interdisciplinary ranging from basic research to translational. If you are interested, reach us with a small paragraph on what is your interest.

The newly recruited Ph.D. student is expected to underpin cilia defects in neocortex malformation using various disease models.

The newly recruited post-doc will get an opportunity to engineer brain organoids suitable to address specific questions on glioma induction mechanisms.

The lab manager is expected to involve in maintaining the lab and assist the brain organoid culturing and documenations.
